Essence is a class that involves a combination of knowledge and techniques accumulated by Christopher David Handbury while operating as a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine and studying energy work. Primarily designed for his patients suffering from ME & chronic fatigue, 'Essence' has been devised in order to provide energy building skills that are gentle and subtle enough for all shapes and sizes to attend. The results of this approach were more than he could have expected , so the class has been opened up so all can benefit from his techniques and training. "Each class is different with no set program, building on the energy of the people within the class to generate health and well being, classes are limited to 6 people in order to provide individual care throughout, and adequate foundation in energy work." Classes involve Qi Gong (chi kung) exercises to build energy, floor work to help you maintain posture and help with neck and back pain, self massage techiniques to aid personal pain relief and partner orientated massage skills so that you can help others in the class.
