Psych-k

PSYCH-K stands for Psychological Kinesiology. It is a self help tool developed by Rob Williams in 1988 with the goal of changing beliefs in the subconscious mind. Most traditional tools such as affirmations, will power, journaling and visualisation are limited to the conscious mind. PSYCH-K focuses on changing subconscious beliefs with the hope of likewise changing behaviour, feelings and interpretations in life. This enables the individual to change his state of mind at the first indication of stress. Changing subconscious beliefs that may be getting in the way of well-intentioned actions is similar to reprogramming a personal computer. Using PSYCH-K processes—a kind of "mental keyboard" to your own brain you can increase "cross talk" between the two hemispheres of the cerebral cortex, thereby achieving a more "whole-brained" state, which is ideal for changing subconscious beliefs. In addition, when right and left hemispheres of the brain are in simultaneous communication, the qualities and characteristics of both hemispheres are available to maximize your full response potential to life's challenges. PSYCH-K helps you communicate directly with both the conscious and the subconscious minds, so you can change old self-limiting beliefs into new self-enhancing ones that support you! This unique process is a blend of various tools for change, some contemporary and some ancient. Like many innovations in the world, PSYCH-K was the result of a "blinding flash of the obvious" generated by years of research and thousands of sessions with individuals and groups.

Rob Williams explains why Psych-k works

The ‘secret to life’ is BELIEF. Rather than genes, it is our beliefs that control our lives. PSYCH-K is a simple, self-empowering process to change your beliefs and perceptions that impact your life at a cellular level.” — Bruce Lipton, Ph.D Cellular Biologist, author of Biology of Belief
